Downsides Of The Velotric Nomad 1 Ebike

The Velotric Nomad 1 is only $1500 and it has a 750 W motor that can take you up to 20 mph, and while it is a pretty good value there are some downsides to this electric bike.

One of the main concerns with the Velotric Nomad 1 is the power delivery can be fairly abrupt. According to Matt from Juiced Joyrides on YouTube, this electric bike will deliver all of its power immediately and has the ability to jerk you around while on this two wheeled machine now there are some benefits to this like the hill climbing ability. If you're older in age, you might not find the Velotric Nomad 1 particularly pleasant to ride.

Another one of the downsides of the Velotric Nomad 1 is the battery pack is relatively small compared to its competitors. Especially taking into consideration the power delivery. You might not expect to get very good range on the Velotric ebike since it does not have a torque sensor.

Another downside to the Velotric Nomad 1 is weighs considerably more than most electric bikes. If you're looking for something nimble and lightweight, this is probably not going to be the ticket for you.

Also, if you want to go faster than 20 mph, the Velotric Nomad 1 may not satisfy your requirements. This is only a class 2 electric bike, which means it will not help you with pedal assist up to 28 mph like a class 3 electric bike will.
